About this event

2024 Spring Training HPDE

RMR/PCA High Performance Driver Education Event at High Plains Raceway

Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and May 5

NOTICE:  Due to high demand (more students than instructors), registration is closed to novice drivers

Join us for RMR’s first HPDE event of the year.  Sponsored by On-Site Tires

We all want to make the most of our fast and capable machines, don’t we? Maybe you’ve never tried a Driver’s Education event?  If so, it’s time for Spring Training!

Our first HPDE of 2024, Spring Training, is on the Weekend of May 4th and 5th.   We’ll be taking advantage of perfect spring weather and will teach you how to have your suspension springs to “take a set” and drive the perfect apex!

Your car (and maybe trailer) will no longer be buried in the snow, the garage floor will be nice and warm. You can test those cool new parts and horsepower improvements done this winter, take advantage of great driving instruction.

Please join us - whether first timer or veteran. Our chairs, Jim Thorburn and Gary Bauerle, promise plenty of excellent seat time, improved driving skills, great food and drink, camaraderie with our gear-head friends, and most of all – FUN! FUN! FUN!

Also, back again by popular demand, On-Site Tires will be hosting our Saturday night dinner.  Chris Macarak of On-Site plans to “smoke over 100 pounds of pork shoulder, provide homemade buttermilk coleslaw and smoked charro beans”.  He also plans on providing a beer truck filled with all your favorite libations.

This event is an opportunity to support a very worthy charity.  In memory of our departed member, Joe Warren, we will be donating to the ALS Association.   www.als.org  It is a worthy cause and be generous!

Lunchtime charity rides will be held for $20 per vehicle - Any roadworthy vehicle can drive the track at touring/highway speeds.  All proceeds benefit our charity for the event.

  • Lunches for volunteers and instructors will be provided.
  • Saturday Dinner - select to let On-Site Tires now how many Brats to bring

There will be beer-30 on both Saturday and Sunday, and the club provides water during the day to help keep you hydrated.

We are supporting  a very worthy charity during this event:  The ALS Association in memory of our departed member, Joe Warren.  You can donate as much as you would like during registration.

This Event will be using Deferred Billing, your credit card will not be charged until Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
