Picnic Drive to Flagstaff!

Let’s have another picnic drive! 

Join the club on Thursday, August 20th for a drive to Flagstaff for a picnic at Peaks View County Park.  The event is limited to 50 people so don’t hesitate to register.

We will depart the Maverick gas station in Dewey at 9 am (please arrive at 8:30 am for drivers meeting and waivers). The route will take us over Mingus Mountain, Cornville Road, Page Springs Road, Highway 89A up through Oak Creek Canyon, arriving in Flagstaff at the park around 11:45 am.

Verde Valley and Flagstaff members can meet at various places along the route up or at the park. Contact the Registrar (Bob Frith) to coordinate meet up locations.

This is a “bring your own” picnic lunch. We will be picnicking at Peaks Viewl at the Humphrey Ramada.  Plenty of parking and plenty of space to “socially distance” during lunch.  We will be eating outdoors so bring appropriate sun protection.

We will depart for home at 1:30 pm, heading over Lake Mary Road to Clints Wells, down to Camp Verde and arriving back at the Maverick Station around 4 pm.

There will be a number of “catch-up” stops along the route so no one will be left behind if the traffic is slow.

Please plan to “social distance” at all stops.  Face coverings or masks are required for the health of all participants.  All participants are encouraged to stay at home if you are at higher risk for severe illness, or if you are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath.

 

The club has obtained a supply of AZM logo masks that will be distributed to attendees!

 

PCA now requires a “Communicable Disease Waiver” in addition to the usual driving event waiver.  This waiver must be signed by all participants at the start of the drive. If you have already signed this waiver, you won’t need to sign another one.
