Due to current restrictions on social gatherings and requirements for social distancing in place caused by COVID-19, this DE event will follow a different format than normal.
- We will be limiting the number of drivers
- This is a solo-only event. You must be previously signed-off solo by the local PCA, BMWCCA, or ACNA club (at a prior DE event) in order to participate
- There are no rental helmets available for this event - You must bring your own helmet that is fully compliant with PCA helmet rules. See pnwr.org for complete details
- You must bring your own water.
- No in-car instruction is available
- No spectators allowed
And of course, with the quickly changing guidance and mandates from the national and local government levels, this event may, unfortunately, ultimately be canceled. We will only hold this event if we are able to do so in accordance with all current restrictions and in a safe and socially-responsible manner.
All drivers will be Waitlisted upon registration. You will be notified of your updated status once it is determined that the event will proceed and gathering size restrictions are known. You will not be charged until it is certain this event will occur.
Registration Opens
- June 1, 2020 at 8:00 am for Current PCA Members
- June 21, 2020 at 8:00 am for all others
Registration Closes July 24, 2020 at Midnight
PCA Members: Verify that you have renewed your PCA membership and that your membership number has been correctly entered in your Motorsportreg.com profile. You will not be allowed to register before the event opens to non-members unless both items are completed.
PCA Pacific Northwest Region's Driver Education Program is a fun and safe, teaching environment in which participants learn advanced car control and safe driving techniques. PNWR Driver Education events are NOT racing, preparation for racing, nor a competition of any kind.

One-time helmet rental - $30There are no helmet rentals for this event due to extra precautions being taken for health and safety.

In order to make this event compliant with current restrictions for social gatherings and social distancing, there are new restrictions in place for this event:
- You must be signed-off to drive solo by the local PCA, BMWCCA, or ACNA club (at a prior DE event)
- You must bring your own helmet.
- You must bring your own water.
- No spectators allowed.
- No in-car instruction allowed.
Each entrant must have their own account at Motorsportreg.com.
Verify your Motorsportreg.com profile is current before registering:
- PCA members - ensure you have entered your PCA membership number
- Enter all vehicle information (including Vehicle VIN numbers) for all vehicles you will bring to track during the season. Your registration will not be accepted if your VIN numbers are missing.
Minimum age is 18 with a valid, non-restricted driver's license. We will check driver's license at check-in on day of event
Maximum of two drivers per car; must run in separate run groups.
PCA Driver Education Minimum Standards require use of an approved Head And Neck Restraint System (HANS) when harnesses are used. Equal restraints must be used by drivers and passengers. Please review the updated DE Minimum Standards at www.pca.org.
Helmets - Snell rated SA2010/M2010, or newer are required. SA2005/M2005 helmets will NOT pass inspection for any event this season.
Tech Inspection - Each event requires completion of a PreEventTechForm within a 30 day window PRIOR to each event. New: This form MUST be completed, signed, and submitted electronically before the event. More details coming soon. This form should be completed by a certified mechanic or by the participant if he/she feels competent to do so.
Additional rollover protection is required for convertible top vehicles without stock protection from the manufacturer.
Payment and Confirmation
Payment - Online payment is mandatory. Payments will be processed 30 days prior to the event for all confirmed registrations.
Registration Status (NEW FOR 2020 SEASON):
- Your registration status will initially show New (Waitlist). Your registration request is in the queue and you have not yet been accepted into the event.
- Confirmed (Waitlist) means that the normal questions have been worked through, the registration is ready to be Confirmed, but no place yet exists to accept that registration into the event.
- Moving your registration to On Hold means that we are working on some question, or have a question outstanding that needs to be answered; this status can reappear if something requires action by the registrar or event team.
- Confirmed shows that your registration is valid and has been accepted by the event team.
- You will receive an email notification when your status changes. Be sure to check your Junk Mailbox, just in case the message is routed there.
Event Logistics
During the week leading up to the event, we will send an email with links to all relevant details, including track instructions, track map, and schedule. This email does come from a third-party server (MotorsportReg).
